Tami Orama, Co-Founder of Vocal Production Studios was born and raised in Long Island NY and now resides in Lancaster PA. Tami's journey began at five years old with piano lessons and leading roles in school musical productions. She graduated from the University of Connecticut UConn in vocal performance and education. She performed as an artist and recorded original Christian music with her husband Daniel Orama (author of The Orama Method of Vocal Production).
In 2003, Tami's life took a turn that she never expected. On Christmas Eve she caught a virus not knowing what would come next. The next day, Christmas morning, she lost her hearing in her right ear and vertigo for 6-weeks. Unfortunately, this resulted in Tami having a loud ringing ocean sound in her right ear 24/7 and nerve damage. Tami and Daniel went through a very tough season and almost gave up music completely. Her husband encouraged her and worked with her in 2005 so she could sing again. In 2008 Tami returned to the stage to perform with Daniel in a production he produced "We Will Dance". After this performance is when their vocal training school began.
Daniel started to teach the art of singing and discovered The Orama Method Vocal Production; the results he was getting out of his students were amazing. His students were set apart from other singers because of the incredible breathing technique leading to incredible range, breath capacity, and ease of sound; his students started landing lead roles in all the surrounding schools in our area, and before we knew it he was getting them roles on Broadway tours, Off-Broadway, regional theatre etc... This encouraged Tami and she took the step of faith to teach voice lessons with The Orama Method of Vocal Production. It was amazing to see her students grow to win the IMTA 2018 International Singing Competition in NYC, appear in Homeland, The Rockefeller Tree Lighting with Mariah Carey, Fences, Off-Broadway, regional, and local theatre.
